Settings Guide

Accessing Settings

To access your Oathian settings:

1. Open the Oathian app
2. Tap on the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen
3. Tap the Settings icon (gear icon) in the top right corner

Profile Settings

Customize your profile information and appearance:

Edit Profile

• Profile Photo: Tap your profile picture to update it. You can take a new photo or choose from your library.
• Full Name: Update your display name (visible to all users)
• Handle: Change your unique username (3-20 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores only)
• Bio: Add or update a short description about yourself (optional)

Account Settings

Manage your account credentials and data:

Change Email

Update the email address associated with your account. You'll receive a confirmation email to verify the change.

Change Password

Update your account password. You'll need to enter your current password to confirm the change.

Download My Data

Export all your Oathian data including profile information, oaths, fulfilments, comments, and interactions. The data is provided in JSON format.

Delete Account

Privacy Settings

Control your privacy and who can interact with you:

Blocked Users

View and manage users you've blocked. Blocked users cannot:

• See your profile or oaths
• Follow you or interact with your content
• Send you notifications

To block a user, go to their profile and tap the three-dot menu, then select "Block User".

Muted Users

View and manage users you've muted. Muted users can still follow you, but you won't see their content in your feed.

To mute a user, go to their profile and tap the three-dot menu, then select "Mute User".

Notification Settings

Customize which notifications you receive:

Notification Types

• New Follower: When someone follows you
• Encouragement: When someone encourages one of your oaths
• Award: When someone awards your fulfilment
• Comment: When someone comments on your oath or fulfilment
• Comment Reply: When someone replies to your comment
• Comment Like: When someone likes your comment

Toggle each notification type on or off based on your preferences.

Theme Settings

Choose your preferred app appearance:

• Light Mode: Bright background with dark text
• Dark Mode: Dark background with light text (easier on the eyes in low light)
• System Default: Automatically match your device's theme settings

App Version

Check your current app version number at the bottom of the settings screen.
